I'm tempted to put this in scraps, but since I'll be going home next week and won't be doing any traditional painting for awhile, I might as well put it up as-is for now.

This is my painting final, which was yet again left until the last two weeks of class and didn't leave much time to work on it with all the other class finals. But I gave Axl as much attention as I could.

Really I could be happy just painting Axl for no other reason than I want to, but since it's fine art and there must be a reason for everything you do, I gave him an old fashioned halo to reference the saint paintings and how religious icons have been replaced by pop icons and blah blah blah.

This photo doesn't nearly do it justice, it's overcast this afternoon with lousy light to photograph this particular painting, so I'll reshoot it before I fly home and add detail shots.

But for now...yay Axl. It's been awhile. 20x24" acrylic.
