An update?! After what...only 4 months. :|

Painting class project #1. The teacher bought a book of luxury hotel pictures and ripped them all out and let us pick one. Yeah, I'm insane. Everyone else picked pictures with like...a bed and a chair and a table. :(

Four weeks, many late nights, the entire upper half was done in a single evening the night before the deadline so it sucks. But even when that part was all scribbled in the teacher said I could just turn it in and get an A, but...I couldn't do it. Too ugly.

Why is there no interiors/architecture category? Meh.

It makes me sad to push T-Bag off for this, but a little piece of me dies to make it a scrap.

acrylic, 18x24", I know the photo sucks and is crooked, but it was late and I don't care. There's also like an inch cropped off the right accidentally, but nothing was going on over there anyway.

Hey, I didn't notice that gray reflection on the top.cool.
And there needs to be a million more catagories.
and you need to draw more T-bag...j/k (not)

No it's true, I do. Problem is I get so involved in drawing him that everything ends up in this weird limbo state, not quite a sketch but not finished either. Soon as all this studio stuff lightens up a bit...there'll probably be a Theodore Bagwell flood. And we will all drown. In a happy way.

I was wondering where you ran off to lately.
I think it looks great! Personally I can't stand painting. Never could really get the effects I want. I'm curious, did you use a little bit of color pencil? It looks like you did.

Nope, entirely acrylic on stretched canvas.

I'm majoring in painting next fall. Love. Although I suppose I'll have to endure more of this for awhile, but then figures ahoy.

Our next project is a diptych of the myth of hades and persephone as if we were doing the paintings to hang in the hotels we chose, so...old masters realism for me. Yay. In that "I'm such a moron for picking this thing that requires too much work" kinda way.

Really? Wow! Major congrats to you then! I prefere guoach (and I killed the name) than acrylic even though I haven't used it that much.

Well, hey, to each their own. Me drawing, painting for you! =D

Sometimes overachieving helps. I wouldn't worry too much, just don't kill yourself over it!

It's awsome nonetheless.
The colors caught my eye. Seriously! : o
The upper part does look a tad lacking, but it's not killing anyone, even if RK were to even magically see this XD Where did that come from, I don't know.
But the whole scene here is amazing, I liek all the colors and how they were mixed together. And I don't even know how many years you've had with acrylic, but it loos awsome on how you used it. But it was on a big ass sheet of paper, so, yeah.
So, thank god you didn't kill a bit of yourself to make it a scrap, because it looks awsome to me.
So, I believe it is fit for another one of my favorites.
